Irfan Qadir is a Senior Partner at Gerald Duthie Accounting LLC (Dubai), Principal at Gerald Duthie & Co., LLP, Chartered Professional Accountants, and Chairman, CEO of Gerald Duthie Management Consultants Inc. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He also holds a master’s degree in business from the Queen's School of Business.

Irfan’s main areas of practice are tax and financial planning, management consulting, divestitures, and acquisitions. A significant focus of his current advisory services relates to advising clients on cross-border matters between Canada and the US.

Ahmer Ammar, CPA, LPA (Canada), CA (India)


Ahmer Ammar is a Managing Partner at Gerald Duthie Accounting LLC (Dubai), and Director at Gerald Duthie & Co., LLP, CPAs (Canada). He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA Canada), Licensed Public Accountant (CPA Canada), and Chartered Accountant (ICAI). He also holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and accounting from University of Delhi.

Ammar has spent 5+ years in Canada serving clients across healthcare, automotive and other industries in an all-round role encompassing audits, reviews, year-end financial planning, personal and corporate tax planning and advisory, as well as looking after financial reporting and tax compliances.

His total professional experience of 20 years includes 7 years in Middle East with high exposure of top-level management reporting in a role where he directly worked with the CEO of a medium-to-large sized group of companies. His areas of focus revolved around all aspects of Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting and Management Reporting, Business Valuation, Feasibility Analysis, Forecasting, Budgeting and Variance Analysis.

Ammar has over 3 years of Big-4 experience where he worked with KPMG and EY between 2007 and 2010 in tax advisory and consulting. He fondly remembers that experience as an amazing learning opportunity that prepared him for the upcoming challenges.
